Surgical Director Kidney Pancreas Transplant Program
The Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking an academically oriented, Board certified or ASTS certified Transplant Surgeon. The Surgical Director will be responsible for the clinical, research and administrative activities of the program, and will participate in the support of the Multi-organ Transplantation Fellowship.
The Mount Sinai Kidney Transplant Program was initiated over 30 years ago and has become one of the nation's leading academic renal transplant programs, performing over 180 transplants per year with patient outcomes that exceed national averages. The number of the patients on the waiting list for kidney transplantation places the program in the top 10 programs in the country. The Pediatric Renal Transplant Program is the largest Pediatric Renal Transplant Program in the Northeast, and the 5th largest Program in the nation.
