ABHES accredited Non-Profit, Private Post-Secondary Healthcare Career College is looking for a Full timeSurgical Technology Instructor. Surgical Technology program is institutionally accredited by ABHES.
Under the general supervision of the Program Director, the Surgical Technology Instructor delivers class and/or clinical instructions according to an approved course syllabus using accepted and effective teaching methods; develops daily lesson plans; advises and tutors students; maintains current and accurate attendance and grade records; remains current in applicable program teaching fields; participates in faculty meetings, instructional seminars and two (2) in-service training sessions. Participates in college activities such as faculty meetings, student functions, graduations, open houses, new student orientations, and advisory board meetings.
This is a Full Time position.
High School graduate or equivalent required.
Faculty teaching general education courses must have a baccalaureate degree with appropriate coursework in the subject area(s) taught.
Must be a graduate from an accredited program.
Must demonstrate training in educational methods, testing and evaluation and evidence strength in instructional methodology, delivery and techniques as indicated by evaluation personnel within 30 days of beginning instruction.
Certified in the field of Surgical Technology through a national credentialing organization accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
Must hold the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
Current CPR Card.
Current Driver’s License.
Must have a minimum of three (3) years of operating room experience or three (3) years of teaching experience in the field, or a combination of the two, within the last five (5) years.
Must have a minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience in the subject areas taught or demonstrate prior training in instructional methodology and teaching skills from a formal teacher, educational program or any comparable training program or formal in-house training program.
