Surgical Technologist - Operating Room - Limerick Surgery Center
Hours: Full-time (80 hour over two weeks or 10 days / 8 hr shifts) position with no call, no holiday, and no weekend requirements
To act as a patient advocate, providing continuity of care designed to meet individual patient needs through collaboration with other members of the health-care team and supporting the philosophy, objectives and goals of the facility. The Surgical Tech is responsible for assessing the needs of the surgeon. The candidate should be comfortable in the orthopedic, ophthalmic, plastic, pain management, foot and ankle, urology, general and minor vascular specialties.
Responsible for maintaining aseptic technique, setting up cases prior to the case start. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Prepares for future surgical cases.
* Successful completion of surgical tech program
* Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) AHA for Healthcare Provider
* Two or more years of scrub experience, preferred
* Orthopedic, ophthalmic, plastic, pain management, foot and ankle, urology, general and minor vascular specialty experience, preferred
