Great Lakes Institute of Technology is hiring a full time Instructor in the Surgical Technologist program. Responsibilities include:
Classroom instruction in ARC/STSA core curriculum, including healthcare sciences, patient care, and surgical technology procedures
Oversight of laboratory experience in the mock operating room in the school
Directing, evaluating, and reporting student progress
Assist in the assessment of the program resources
Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning
Comply with all school, state, accreditation, and federal policies and procedures
Position is open immediately. Training is to begin upon hire, with classroom responsibilities starting July 10.
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements
Minimum of 3 years of recent scrub tech experience
A credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by NCCA
Associate Degree preferred
CST or other credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by NCCA
Experience as an educator preferred. Onboarding program includes training in instructional methodologies.
