Hackensack University Medical Center (Hackensack UMC) Department of Surgery, Division of Transplantation is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible nephrologist with outstanding clinical acumen, a strong academic interest, and a fellowship in transplant nephrology who is interested in becoming a leader in the field of kidney and/or pancreas transplantation. Successful candidates will be expected to become an integral part of this dynamic transplant team and will be encouraged to maintain an academic career in transplantation. The successful candidate will join our clinical team; Chief Surgeon, Medical Director/Primary Transplant Nephrologist and Transplant Surgeon. We have an active renal transplant program and are looking for innovative ways to grow the kidney program. We are also looking to reactivate and grow our pancreas transplant program.
The successful applicant will care for kidney transplant patients on both inpatient and outpatient services HUMC. The Nephrologist will be server a key role which includes; assisting the kidney and pancreas program in developing and offering protocol driven care and developing and implementing transplant research initiatives.
