SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY FULL-TIME TENURE TRACK FACULTY/PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Harper College is seeking applications for the Surgical Technology Full-Time Tenure Track Faculty/Program Coordinator position. The Faculty Coordinator is responsible for the organization, continuous review, planning, development, and general effectiveness of the program. The successful candidate will plan the course schedule and manage the program budget in collaboration with the Dean, establish and maintain relationships with the Surgical Technology program advisory committee, and host meetings with the committee at least two times per year. As the Faculty Coordinator, you will be responsible for teaching in clinical and didactic courses, and the regular assessment of student learning. You will also be responsible for program accreditation, program assessment, and ensuring the program meets the requirements of the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, (CAAHEP).
- A Bachelor's degree and a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA) are required.
- At least five years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past ten years.
