Providence is calling a Surgical Materials Coordinator to Providence St. Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA.
This is a per diem, day shift position.
This position is accountable for the planning, organizing, and coordinating with supply change management for special requests for supplies, instruments and equipment for surgical cases.
In this position you will:
Coordinate with supply chain management for special instrumentation, supplies, and equipment for surgery
Work with Resource Nurses, staff, and surgeons to provide resources and education related to use of specialized instrumentation and equipment
Monitor surgery schedule to identify needed surgical items; arrange with supply chain management to order
Order new instruments for replacements, broken, or missing instruments
Establish criteria for instrumentation, supply, and equipment evaluations
Assure accurate billing processes are followed and maintained
Monitor, log, and track of implants used in surgery
Qualifications for this position include:
Three years' experience working in material management or three years as a surgical technologist or three experience in sterile processing department
Preferred Qualifications for this position include :
Associate degree in material management, surgical technologist, or business
Advanced training and work experience with instrumentation, implants, and supplies for patient care
