The ideal candidate will have five years as a Surgical Technologist in the CVOR with background and experience in endoscopic vein harvesting. The candidate must be a graduate of a school of Surgical Technology/First Assistant program.
This is full time, four 10 hour shifts from 5:30am - 4:00pm with on-call weekends.
The first assist will provide assistance to the surgeon in all aspects of procedures, pre-operatively, intra-operatively and post-operatively. The first assist will also assist the surgeon at the chest, handling tissue, retraction, hemostasis, suturing, typing, cannulation, and wound closure. The first assist will also be involved in open/endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) and open/endoscopic radial artery harvesting.
