POSITION SUMMARY: Advanced level surgical scrub role for certified/non-certified trained operating room technician/specialty team lead. Assists surgeons with a variety of surgical procedures and complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital. Provides clinical and administrative supervision of designated specialty, acting as clinical and educational resource to the nursing staff. Effectively and efficiently orders/maintains required par levels of such specialty creating a trouble free environment. Analyzes and reduce supply cost. Required to work flexible hours and be on call nights, weekends and holidays. Knowledge of adherence of monitoring and compliance of all regulatory and licensing agencies including but not limited to TJC, OSHA, AHCA, CMS, etc.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience): Graduate of a surgical technology program or equivalent Minimum of three (3) years OR experience preferred Current BLS Certification Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to assist with varied operative procedures and surgeonï¿½s verbal directives Ability to perform effectively in fast paced, stressful environment CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of the department and the hospital. Works with supervisor/manager and other members of section or department to promote a harmonious work environment. Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other hospital personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner. Answers telephones in a prompt and courteous manner. Displays concern and provides assistance or explains procedures as appropriate to callers or in face-to-face situations. Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Works with customers to identify problem areas and recommend solutions.
