We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic leader to manage the Surgical Technology and Sterile Processing program. This is a full time, professional position reporting directly to the Director of Education. As the leader of the program, the Program Director is responsible for managing the department using sound business principles and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, accreditation and company policies and procedures.
The Program Director teaches in his/her assigned discipline, works with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction within the assigned program(s), is the lead administrator for the department, and, as such, is responsible for faculty training and development, coordinating and administering the academic program(s) and student outcomes and activities within the department.
The following requirements are needed:
A current résumé indicating a minimum of five (5) years of recent scrub experience or five (5) years recent experience as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past ten (10) years.
Prior postsecondary related teaching experience of at least 3 years.
Bachelor’s Degree or above.
Documentation indicating proficiency in instructional methodology, curriculum design, and program planning.
Current NCCA-approved credential in surgical technology (CST™, CSFA™ or CST/CSFA™). CRCST would be beneficial and must be willing to obtain.
Documented expertise in academic subject area as demonstrated by data sheets, diplomas, transcripts, certifications and/or résumés.
Expertise in interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skills.
Ability to provide effective direction and leadership and work effectively and collaboratively with others.
Experience as a Program Director is preferred
Experience with Programmatic Accreditation is preferred
