Kootenai Health is seeking a community-minded, quality-driven, and highly motivated Surgical Scrub Tech II!
As we continue to improve quality and operational excellence, we are pursuing a staffing model that provides three staff per operating room. Our three-person team consists of one circulator, one scrub, and one facilitator. This model supports work-life balance as it decreases the burden of call. It also supports engagement and growth by allowing for specialization and enabling those certified to first-assist to provide that service whenever possible. Furthermore, we train and utilize RNs in the scrub role with our Periop 101 Cohort Program.

Our facility recently expanded to provide our team and community with the most up-to-date OR environments and technology to ensure optimal patient success and expedited healing. All current rooms have been right-sized and remodeled, and we now have a total of 11 Operating Rooms, one of which is a Hybrid OR!
We utilize the da Vinci® System for our Robotic Program which supports procedures in urology, thoracic, general, and gynecology specialties.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
2 years' experience in an operating room
Surgical Technician Certification (CST)
Competent in two specialty areas
Must be certified to perform CPR
BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver, or KH BLS during General Orientation.
Competent to meet age-specific needs of the unit assigned

Kootenai Health offers a modern, state-of-the-art facility in which hospital staff, those from Kootenai Clinic's General Surgery, and other affiliated surgeons are able to perform a wide range of specialized surgical procedures. Currently, our facility is rapidly growing to provide our team and community with the most up-to-date OR environments and tools to ensure optimal patient success and expedited healing. Our team will be gaining three brand new operating suites, one of with will be a Hybrid OR. Additionally, all current rooms will be expanded and remodeled. Phase one of the project has been completed, and we anticipate the entire project to be completed by June 2018, bringing us to a total of 11 Operating Rooms.
