You Will Be Responsible For:
Using instruments and medical devices,
Providing surgical site exposure,
Handling and/or cutting tissue,
Providing hemostasis by means of clamping vessels, coagulating, and ligating vessels,
Suturing, and closure of surgical sites (i.e. closure of muscle, fascia, subcutaneous, and skin).
Responding to emergency situations.
Assumes on call assignment.
Participates in staff and student development.

What You Will Need:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology Program, or Military Training Program in Surgical Technology
2 years minimum experience as Surgical Technologist First Assist.
Certification as Surgical First Assistant (CSFA).
Basic Cardiac Life Support.
Certification in Surgical Technology.
Responsible for direct and indirect preoperative patient care to the patient undergoing operative and/or an invasive procedure. Based on the needs of the department and on training, competence, and skill, the CSTFA will perform in the role of first assistant, and/or surgical technologist. participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
