Baker College Professional Services, Inc. seeks to hire an individual to be assigned to the position of CLINICAL COORDINATOR (PART-TIME) – SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY for the benefit of and to be located at Baker College of Muskegon.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible to serve as a liaison between Baker College and affiliated clinical sites by establishing and fostering productive relationships for the purpose of effectively assigning students at these sites. To support student achievement in the clinical learning environment by providing program-specific expertise and instruction under the direct supervision of the Program Director.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain fieldwork sites
Occasional travel to fieldwork sites throughout Southeast Michigan required
Assure students have completed requirements for fieldwork
Compile all student and fieldwork site related evaluations and feedback and report statics to the Program Director
Occasional supervisor of Level I fieldwork students
Teach assigned coursework related to fieldwork
Ensure students are assigned to sites in which an unexpired and properly executed agreement is in place
Communicate with Program Director and Fieldwork Site Supervisor regarding contracts
Attend department and system meetings
Other duties as assigned
WORK SCHEDULE: Up to 28 hours per week: 1st Shift
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related area with Certified Surgical Technologist credential and at least 3 years of recent scrub and/or surgical technology education teaching experience or both within the last 5 years preferred
Associate’s degree in related area with Certified Surgical Technologist credential and at least 3 years of recent scrub and/or surgical technology education teaching experience or both within the last 5 years required
Basic Microsoft Office and Google applications experience preferred
Must have effective verbal and written communications skills
Must have demonstrated competency in program-specific knowledge and performance skills.
