The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Ambulatory Surgery Centeris seeking a 100%Surgical Technologist. Under the direction of a registered professional nurse, assists with Ophthalmic surgical procedures: provision of therapeutic, preventative and emergency patient care duties; and preparation, operation and maintenance of routine and complex equipment, instruments and supplies.
Percent of Time:100%
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Location: Ambulatory Surgery Center at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics
Rotations: 10-hour shifts scheduled from 6:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. plus extension of shift call.
Regular salaried position located in Iowa City, Iowa

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Satisfactory completion of a vocational or military course in surgical technology, or certification as a Surgical Technologist.
Prior Perioperative experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Previous ASC Experience is desired
Demonstrates customer service and service recovery
