Summary
The Operating Room Surgical Technician assists with surgical instruments in the OR based on procedure performed, standards, guidelines, and policies set for the unit. The Surgical Technician / Surgical Tech functions under the guidance of the Registered Nurse and surgeon.

Education
HS diploma, Graduate of approved surgical tech school, unless LPN with a minimum of 2 years surgical experience

Experience
Preferred experience in OR or SPD but not required

License
LPN if not a Graduate of approved Surgical Tech School

Certifications
Required: American Heart Association BLS

Candidates in unit have priority based on unit seniority
