Job Summary:

Prepares the operating rooms for surgery using appropriate techniques. Provides technical services and assists in the operating room as assigned or directed. Overseen by the charge nurse of the operating room. Reports directly to the Director of Surgical Services.

Training and Experience:

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the operating room.

Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development over the life span. Speaks, reads and writes English.

Mandatory Requirments:

Graduate of a formal OR technician training program preferred

At least six months experience in an acute care OR preferred

ORT certificate preferred

American Heart Association BLS/CPR
