Compensation of the Certified Surgical Technologist:
Salary Range: $18.50 - $25 Depending on experience.
Night Shift Differential: $2.50
Evening Shift Differential: $1.50
Weekend Differential: $1.00
On Call Pay: $3.50
Matching 401(k) contributions ranging from 3-9%.

Certified Surgical Technologist needed in Sun City, Florida in a 138-bed healthcare facility. The hospital recently opened a 26-bed ICU/PCU patient tower to meet the needs of the growing community. The facility offers a wide range of services, such as cardiovascular care, cancer care, and 24-hour emergency care. These services have earned the hospital several awards and accreditations, including recognition as a Primary Stroke Center with the Gold Seal of Approval by The Joint Commission and being a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures for five consecutive years. Job Responsibilities of the Certified Surgical Technologist:
- Assembles supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
- Prepares sterile instrument table.
- Prepares patient skin for surgery in accordance with hospital standards.
- Maintains aseptic techniques and actively monitors situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic technique.
- Provides comfort and support for pre-operative patients.
- Transports patients to and from surgical suite.
- Positions patient according to type of surgery.
- Assists the surgical team in surgical procedures which may include passing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
- Maintains work area.
- Gathers equipment for cleaning and sterilization.
- Assists in the monitoring of the patient through the procedure.
- Provides age and culturally appropriate care.
- Orients and mentors new staff members.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Job Qualifications of the Certified Surgical Technologist:
- Graduate of a formal surgical technologist program or equivalent training.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.
- Hospital Surgical Tech experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented with ability to sustain concentration over long periods of time.
- Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Must have experience 1 years CST exp
- Must be certified
- On call? - Yes/ must live within 30min of the hospital
Compensation of the Certified Surgical Technologist:
- Salary Range: Up to $52,000.00 - Depending on experience.
