Provides support and /or assistance to the nursing personnel in the GI lab and Ambulatory Care Unit in activities such as patient transportation, discharge of patients from the units, disinfections and preparation of equipment and supplies necessary for the daily conduct of patient care and patient flow, maintenance of patient position, stocking of supplies, maintenance of equipment, and assisting physicians during procedures. Reports directly to the Director of GI Lab.

Possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the GI lab area. Has knowledge of growth and development over the life span. Knowledge of proper aseptic and sterile techniques. Speaks, reads and writes English.

· Minimum two years experience

· American Heart Association CPR/BLS

· American Heart Association ACLS preferred
