Overview Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Certified Surgical Technician for Ambulatory Surgery Center at Overlook Medical Center to work from 7AM to 5 PM at least 1 shift per week. No weekends or on call. Responsibilities Essential Functions:Functions to act as a sterile member of the nursing team in the OR and to assist surgeons. Proficiently performs the role of surgical technologist. Anticipates surgeon's needs for a variety of surgical procedures. Maintains sterility. Possesses knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation. Performs counts, handles specimens special equipment and instrumentation for various surgical procedures.
