The Surgical Tech, WakeMed Travel Staffing is an allied health professional who is an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing surgical care to a variety of patient populations. Functions under the supervision of a surgeon or registered nurse to ensure that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Applies sterile and aseptic technique that combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation of tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. WakeMed Travel Staffing offers staff roles with flexibility and stability of a position in North Carolina's Triangle region. Staff have opportunities to work across all locations at WakeMed to provide the highest level of quality care to our patients.
Experience Requirements:
1 Year Clinical - Surgical Technician Required
Education Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required - And Graduate Surgical Technology Required - Or Military - Surgical Technology Required
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Certified Surgical Technologist Required - Within 12 Months of Completion of Surgical Technology Program
