The Surgical Tech/Endoscopy Supervisor, under the guidance of the physician and Registered Nurse, works collaboratively with the nursing staff, medical staff and all members of the health care team; demonstrates professionalism through communication, is responsible for the care and safety of patients who come under his/her care. The Surgical Tech/Endoscopy Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the success of the unit's Endoscopy techs and assisting them to become proficient and competent members of the team. They are responsible for procurement of bids for equipment, as well as monitoring for equipment conflicts.
