Schedule:Full Time
Shift: 4 x 10 ‘s from 0630-1700 –to include 1 overnight call during the week, and 2 (24 hour) weekend calls a month

The role you’ll contribute:
The Team Leader supervises, coordinates, and performs patient care delivery on assigned unit and is responsible for coordinating and planning assigned shift activities in advance to ensure standards of patient care are met. Acts as a clinical resource and role model and provides self-directed, effective services to groups of patients, physicians, and staff.

·Communicates with courtesy when interacting with internal or external customers—in person or on the telephone.
·Demonstrate collaboration and teamwork in managing patient flow-i.e. promotes timely patient placement by following hospital policy for patient admission, discharge and transfer.
·Prepares daily shift assignments, which distributes personnel equitably and appropriately to match the needs of patients with skill of departmental staff.
·Ensure service line and all related procedures have all necessary products, supplies, vendor support, equipment, and trained staff to perform said procedure.
·Plans and provides for education of staff members in assigned services line.
·Works closely with Supply Chain/scheduling/SPD/OR to ensure physician requested items are available prior to the day of surgery
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·High School education or equivalent
·Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program
·Five years’ experience as a CST in an acute care facility
·Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
·Basic Life Support (BLS)
