Come join the staff of GI Diag/Endoscopy. They have a position available for a Speciality Technician II, working in a dynamic unit requiring excellent partnership and a commitment to excellence every single day. The GI Unit is an advanced gastroenterology unit performing approximately 900 cases per month. These cases include general GI, pancreatic-biliary GI, emergency GI with out-patient and in-patient procedures. The department includes a pre-operative unit and a licensed PACU.

• You will cleans, disinfects, inventories, and maintains endoscopes and non-disposable equipment.
• You will Operate and maintain ultrasonic scope washer; monitors and prepares inoperable/damaged scopes for repair.
• Tests scope washer solutions daily and endoscopes as outlined in Unit Infection Control policies.
• Orders and stocks hospital based medical supplies and tracks inventory of medical and other supplies from outside vendor orders.
• Maintains PAR levels of necessary supplies, safely transfer and transports patients to and from procedures, and performs other duties as required and/or assigned.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED
Graduate of an Accredited School of Surgical Technicians-preferred

Licenses: CPR

Experience:

Two years Received equivalent on-the-job training with assisting general endoscopic procedures-preferred
