Atlantic Health System, is seeking a Per Diem Certified Surgical Technologists II for the Labor & Delivery Unit at Overlook Medical Center to work 7AM-7:30PM.
Responsibilities
Essential Function/Responsibilities:
Displays ability to scrub on all OB specialty cases. Maintain sterile field/ uses aseptic technique.
Acts as a collaborative partner to confirm safety measures are implemented and maintained throughout the surgical procedure.
Assist providers during surgical cases, such as cesarean delivery, laceration repair, hysterectomy and is able to adapt to other surgical procedures on an as needed basis.
Maintains department readiness and organization, stocks surgical suites and delivery rooms throughout shifts, monitor instrument integrity, collaborate with storeroom and CSR, to ensure proper par levels and turnover of sterile supplies.
Practices in alignment with hospital Maternity and Operating Room policy and procedures
Assist with patient care ADLs, such as performing pericare, post-surgical care needs, empties foley, obtains intake and output. Transfers patient to mother baby.
Promotes patient and family centered care
Maintains PRIDE values and embraces baby friendly initiative
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
Surgical Technician Certificate
Minimum Experience:
A minimum of 6 months surgical scrub experience required, L&D scrub experience preferred
