Position Summary:

5. Under clinical supervision, the surgical technologist functions as a member of the sterile team, creating and maintaining a sterile field, supplying the surgeon with needed instruments and supplies in accordance with established policies and procedures of Surgery Center.
5. This position also performs decontamination, preparation, and sterilization of instruments and equipment for the facility.
5. Assists in transportation and nursing care of surgical patients of all ages, as well as assisting with and assuming general departmental duties and responsibilities. 

 

Position Requirements:

5. Licensure/Certification/Registration:

BLS within 30 days of hire

 

5. Education:     

High school graduate or equivalent.  Graduate of a school of surgical technology preferred.

 

5. Experience:

Minimum of one year of OR experience preferred.
