DescriptionPerforms hand and arm scrub according to Department Policy and Procedure. Dons sterile gown and gloves. Sets up instrumentation and equipment as dictated by Department guidelines. Performs counts with the circulating nurse before, during and after the procedure as required. Assists surgeons gown, glove, and after skin preparation is completed, assist with the draping. Safely passes instruments, sponges, and sutures during the procedure. Maintains the sterile field and ensures that all members of the team adhere to specific technique. Verifies and prepares medications and solutions to be administered within the sterile field, and maintains an accurate accounting of amounts used. Handles all specime
