DescriptionThe Cardiac Surgical Tech completes surgical set-ups according to department standards and physician preference cards. The Surgical Tech is a member of the surgical team providing care to the patient and is responsible for maintaining the sterile field; surgical instrumentation; preparation of supplies and equipment; as well as other related duties. Duties include anticipating physician needs at the sterile field, preparing supplies, instruments and equipment.
