We are currently seeking an outstanding Surgical Technologist to join our top-tier healthcare system. Surgical Technologists at Asante play a critical role in patient care and are valued members of our surgical team, working under the supervision of the Charge Nurse. What You’ll Do:
Work as an integral part of the surgical team, following AORN and CST guidelines
Anticipate the surgeon’s needs, pass instruments, and assist in exposure of the surgical field
Select, prepare, and operate all necessary supplies and surgical equipment
Maintain the sterile field and organize instrumentation
Perform surgical counts consistently, including safety counts
Who You Are:
You have a strong understanding of surgical procedures and patient care
You demonstrate expertise in aseptic technique, including scrub, gown, and glove counts under AORN and CST guidelines
You thrive in fast-paced environments, able to switch tasks rapidly while maintaining focus
You communicate effectively, ensuring you are always understood

What You Must Have:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
One of the following:
Graduation from a nationally accredited surgical tech program and certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA) within 12 months of graduation, or
Surgical tech training in the military with 16 hours of continuing education every 2 years, or
In lieu of CST, OSA (Ophthalmic Surgical Assisting) subspecialty certification from JCAHPO will be accepted, or
Documented surgical tech practice in at least 2 of the last 3 years (pre-01/01/2017) with 16 hours of continuing education every 2 years, or
LPN licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (CST experience requirement waived)
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon hire.
