DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: An integral member of the surgical team who provides support for surgeons throughout the operation by preparing, providing and caring for instruments and equipment and maintaining a sterile field.RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduation from a school of Surgical Technology preferred.CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: BLS certification required prior to end of probationary period. SKILLS: Knowledge of care and handling of instruments and equipment. Knowledge of sterilization and cleansing procedures.
