Scope of PositionThe Surgical Technologist functions as an integral member of a team of care providers on a patient care unit who reflect a culture ofcooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. The team, consisting of the Patient Care Coordinator (PCC-RN), Anesthesia Technician (AT)and the Unit Clerical Associate (UCA) provides patient care and supportive services that are directed toward successful achievement ofpatient care outcomes, maximizing the patients involvement in his/her own plan of care, improving services levels, reducing the length ofhospitalization, and decreasing costs. Patients and their family will experience the benefits of patient focus care through the integrated skillsof all care team members.Position Summary
