Location: Keck Hospital of USC – Los Angeles, CA
Schedule: Full-time | 10-Hour Day Shifts
Hourly Rate: $$36.50 - $62.05

Keck Medicine of USC is a national leader in complex cardiac care. We are seeking highly skilled Surgical Cardiac Technician III to join our Cardiac OR team. In this advanced role, you'll assist world-class cardiovascular surgeons during open heart and thoracic procedures, playing a key part in lifesaving care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Surgical Cardiac Technician III, you will:

• Scrub for advanced cardiac procedures including open-heart surgeries
• Prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment with meticulous attention to sterility
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team
• Assist with prepping the operating room and ensuring proper documentation
• Serve as a mentor to junior surgical tech staff and support training needs
• Uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient safety

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• 3+ years of experience in Cardiac or CVOR surgical settings
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from NBSTSA
• Thorough knowledge of surgical instruments, cardiovascular procedures, and sterile technique

Preferred:

• 5+ years of Cardiac OR experience
• Expertise assisting in a wide range of open-heart procedures

SALARY: The hourly rate range for this position is $36.50 - $62.05.
