The Department of Radiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is seeking a fellowship trained body radiologist in consideration for a fully remote, lifestyle oriented 100% subspecialized body radiology position to complete our established teleradiology program. This daytime only position has a Monday-Sunday schedule 8AM-5PM CST (7 DAYS ON, 14 DAYS OFF) with manageable imaging volumes on every shift. Weekday shifts are working in tandem with multiple other body radiology colleagues on a shared body imaging list. Weekend shifts are coupled with other body radiology colleagues for the entirety of the shift hours. Our department also has fully staffed subspecialized night and swing shift coverage to keep reading lists current and manageable at all times. Salary is highly competitive for this teleradiology position and there has been very high career satisfaction and longevity with teleradiologists who currently fill these roles.
This teleradiology position entails reading a mixture of outpatient, ER, and inpatient CT/CTA/MRI/US body radiology studies alongside our collegial in-house staff and residents. As this is strictly a clinical position, no lectures or research responsibilities are required for this role unless specifically sought out by the candidate. Minimal phone call responsibilities. We have a robust teleradiology division and currently employ 20+ remote radiologists to supplement our 30+ on-site staff radiologists. A very positive relationship exists with on-site radiologists including a high level of support for our teleradiology colleagues who read alongside the in-house staff and residents.
Our department utilizes state-of-the-art equipment in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and nuclear medicine. Enjoy an outstanding teleradiology lifestyle without sacrificing image quality or professional contentment in a progressive academic department highly supportive of work-life balance and collegiality in radiology.
