Summary

The Surgical Technician assists with surgical instruments in the OB/OR based on procedure performed, standards, guidelines, and policies set for the unit. Surgical Tech OB functions under the guidance of the Registered Nurse and surgeon.

Education

Required: Graduate of Surgical Technician Program as required by state regulation of practice or policy.

Experience

Required: 6 months OB/OR or 1 yr OR experience
Preferred: 1 year experience as surgical technician

Certifications

Required: BLS.
Preferred: Surgical Technology Certification

Candidates in unit have priority based on unit seniority
