The Department of Radiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is seeking a fellowship trained teleradiologist in consideration for a remote 7 DAYS ON, 14 DAYS OFF evening position with manageable imaging volumes. This remote position has a Wednesday-Tuesday schedule (5PM - 3AM CST) with the following 14 days off. These hours are particularly favorable for west coast candidates, enjoyed by many current physicians in this division (3PM-1AM PST). Salary is highly competitive for this model (W2 and 1099 options are available).
This position entails reading a mixture of both ER, inpatient and outpatient studies. The successful candidate should have outstanding credentials and be experienced in the interpretation of CT, CTA, MRI, ultrasound, and plain films with preference given to candidates who have previously completed a neuroradiology or emergency radiology fellowship. The position includes reading with and alongside our excellent in-house residents. Minimal phone call responsibilities. As this is strictly a clinical position, no lectures or research responsibilities are required for this role unless specifically sought out by the candidate. Candidates must be comfortable interpreting imaging studies outside of their primary subspecialty. The position is coupled with a fellowship trained neuroradiologist and a body radiologist during all hours of this shift. Additional swing shift radiologist coverage is utilized to keep imaging volumes very manageable.
Our department utilizes state-of-the-art equipment in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and nuclear medicine. Enjoy an outstanding radiology lifestyle without sacrificing image quality or professional satisfaction in a progressive academic department supportive of work-life balance in radiology.
